What Makes Hypertrophic Scar New Skin Laser (Pinhole Method) Different
Scar improvement is not achieved by simply applying one type of laser.
New Skin Laser treatment is a personalized approach embodying our medical philosophy, meticulously performed after careful analysis of each scar's characteristics.
1. CO₂ or Er:YAG, Carefully Selected for Each Area
For scars that are wide and have dense tissue, we use a CO₂ laser to provide deep stimulation.
On the other hand, for areas with thin and sensitive skin, we approach with greater precision using an Er:YAG laser.
The director directly considers the condition of each area and determines the appropriate laser.
2. Pinhole Spacing & Size Individually Adjusted
The basic pinhole spacing usually starts at 1-2mm.
However, depending on the nature of the scar, the spacing can be widened to more than 3mm, or treated more densely.
By directly checking the location, shape, and thickness of the scar, the spacing and penetration depth are delicately adjusted.
3. Cutting Depth Precisely Set by Differentiating Between Upper and Lower Dermis
We decide whether to stimulate the skin shallowly, or penetrate deeper.
Sometimes, only the upper dermis is stimulated,
and if necessary, it can reach the collagen layer of the lower dermis.
This treatment range is entirely based on the director's medical judgment and customized individually.
Such a precise process must be based on extensive clinical experience.
4. Not a Simple Machine Procedure, but Designed and Performed Directly by the Director
After a direct consultation with the patient, the director creates a treatment plan.
The lesion area is directly examined,
and the position and spacing of the pinholes are designed according to the scar type.
The laser intensity is also adjusted according to the patient's skin condition.
We also carefully monitor the recovery process after the procedure,
and provide detailed guidance on the necessity of subsequent treatments and appropriate intervals.
What is Hypertrophic Scar New Skin Laser (Pinhole Method)?
New Skin Laser (Pinhole Method)
creates micro-channels with 1-3mm spacing using CO₂ or Er:YAG laser inside raised scars, severing the connections of excessively proliferated collagen tissue.
This method gently relaxes the scar tissue, leading it to gradually flatten.
It penetrates deeper than conventional fractional lasers, and rather than simply abrading the scar surface, it works deep within the dermis, showing particularly promising effects for the improvement of papular and hypertrophic scars.

Q&A
고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.
What types of scars can this be applied to?
New Skin Laser can primarily help improve scars where the skin surface is bulging and raised. However, it is important to visit the clinic in person and consult with a specialist to accurately understand the individual characteristics of your scar.
What equipment is used for the procedure?
This procedure utilizes both CO2 laser and Er:YAG laser. The medical team will formulate an appropriate treatment plan by combining them, taking into account the patient's scar location and characteristics.
Are there any precautions to take after the procedure?
Small scabs may form on the treated area. It is best to let these scabs fall off naturally, and be careful not to forcibly remove them. Also, please avoid using scrubs or exfoliants that can irritate the treated area, and it is important to apply sunscreen thoroughly when going out.
