Dual Toning: What Makes It Different?
Unique Features of Our Clinic's Dual Toning
Combining laser toning with Genesis treatment does not guarantee the same results for everyone.
Our clinic's Dual Toning creates a customized plan tailored to each individual's skin condition,
aiming for a more delicate and efficient treatment.
Rather than focusing on the number of treatments or specific equipment names,
we meticulously analyze complex skin issues such as pigment depth, skin sensitivity, elasticity, redness, and pores,
and based on this, we classify them into 5 detailed types to determine the treatment direction.
① Pigmentation Type – Skin primarily concerned with melasma, freckles, or epidermal pigmentation
This is a condition where melanin pigment is relatively abundant on the skin surface.
In such cases, intensive care primarily focused on laser toning may be required.
The focus will be on creating a clear and even skin tone.
② Complex Type – Skin with melasma accompanied by redness
This is a case where dermal pigmentation issues and vascular redness appear simultaneously.
Instead of strong stimulation, it is recommended to apply a broad, low-power irradiation to gradually induce a skin response.
This method can be considered for individuals with sensitive skin or those who haven't seen significant results from past treatments.
③ Redness Type – Skin with noticeable redness, mainly around the cheeks or nose
It is characterized by fine vascular dilation, a sensation of heat, and sensitive redness.
In this case, repeatedly irradiating with the Genesis laser at a relatively high power
can help stabilize blood vessels and improve skin barrier function.
④ Fine Wrinkle Type – Skin that is thin, dry, and has prominent fine wrinkles
This can be seen as a state where the skin lacks moisture, has an overall rough texture, and reduced elasticity.
By utilizing Genesis to deliver overlapping irradiation over a wide area deep within the skin,
it aims to induce collagen regeneration in the dermal layer and improve overall skin texture.
⑤ Pore Type – Skin concerned with acne scars or enlarged pores
Often, there is reduced elasticity around the pores or accompanying minor scars.
Through deep thermal stimulation treatment, skin remodeling effects can be induced.

*Dual Toning Treatment: What Do We Prioritize?
The Dual Toning treatment we offer at our clinic
does not simply mean combining two types of lasers.
1. Depth and distribution of pigmentation
2. Sensitivity and regenerative capacity according to skin type
3. Additional problematic factors such as elasticity, redness, and pores
By comprehensively reviewing all these factors,
we conduct personalized design, from laser wavelength and output, handpiece selection, to the number of irradiations.
Establishing an optimal treatment plan for each individual,
this is the core of the Dual Toning treatment pursued by our clinic.

This treatment can be considered for these individuals
- This can be helpful for those who are also considering improving pores or skin texture that cannot be addressed by toning procedures alone.
- This may be suitable for those who expect relatively quick changes even with a small number of treatments.
- This can be considered if you are concerned about dark melasma along with hyperpigmentation.
───────────────
Procedure Process
- STEP 01. Cleansing
- STEP 02. A treatment plan is established and proceeded with through individual consultation.
───────────────
Post-Procedure Care
- ㆍFacial cleansing and makeup are possible from the day of the procedure, and consistent sun protection is recommended.
- ㆍIt is recommended to focus on sufficient soothing care and moisturizing for temporarily sensitive skin.
- ㆍAfter the procedure, some swelling or redness may occur, but most of these reactions naturally subside over time. If these symptoms persist for several days, we recommend visiting the clinic again for consultation.

How are Melasma and Blemishes Different?
Melasma differs somewhat from simply an excessive production of melanin pigment remaining on the skin.
It is observed that pigment cells called melanocytes, located deep within the skin, become overly activated.
The melanin produced by these cells repeatedly diffuses into a wide area.
As a result, it is a complex pigmentary disorder where pigment penetrates deep into the dermis and remains for a long time.
Especially, external factors such as UV exposure and hormonal changes are the main causes that stimulate melanocytes.
At this time, subtle inflammatory reactions or vascular-related factors within the skin may also act in conjunction.
Unlike typical mole-like forms, the pigment appears faded and widely spread.
During tissue examination, the number of melanocytes itself often falls within the normal range.
However, these cells increase in size, and the dendritic structures, which are protrusions, show a clear increase.
This results in melanin being more actively and widely delivered to surrounding skin cells.
In some patients, the melasma areas may be accompanied by the expansion of fine capillaries or a blushing reaction, appearing red.
When accompanied by such vascular-related symptoms, it is sometimes categorized and explained as 'vascular melasma'.
Melasma is less of a specific disease and more of a phenomenon where the skin reacts sensitively to various stimuli.
It can be understood as a result occurring due to various external stimuli when the skin structure is somewhat unstable.
Therefore, rather than simply removing pigment, treatments that correct the underlying causes of melasma along with the structural aspects of the skin are important.
Dual toning can be considered for general pigmentation issues, but especially for melasma, the dual toning method may be a more necessary treatment than general toning.

Q&A
고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.
What is the recommended treatment interval? Also, how many sessions are generally received?
Generally, treatment can be considered at 1-2 week intervals, and more than 10 sessions of consistent care may be necessary depending on individual skin conditions. Detailed information will be provided during the consultation.
How much discomfort is experienced during the procedure?
A light tingling sensation may occur during the procedure. The pain is not severe, so most people receive treatment without separate anesthesia.
