It is generally recommended to use a longer pulse duration for thicker hair.
Thicker hair contains more melanin, so with short pulses, energy can be absorbed too rapidly, potentially causing epidermal damage. Therefore, using a longer pulse allows heat to be delivered more gently, which is beneficial for epidermal protection.

Thicker hair requires higher energy density. Due to more melanin and a thicker structure, more energy is needed for heat to accumulate effectively.

Is there a difference in effectiveness compared to GentleMAX?
With hair removal devices that do not cool properly
High power + short pulse settings carry a high risk of burns.
The reasons are as follows:
Short pulses deliver the same energy faster and more intensely→ instantaneous heat explosion → rapid increase in epidermal temperature
If the cooling function is weak?→ unable to control heat immediately
Consequently, as the output is increased, the pulse must be lengthened
to safely 'gently deliver' heat so the epidermis can withstand it.
Therefore, if the cooling function is sufficiently supported,
thick and deep hairs can be strongly removed with high power and short pulses.
GentleMAX's gas-cooling method is better than fan-based cooling
in terms of cooling performance.

Even if permanent hair removal is achieved, recurrence can occur after 2-3 years, so it's difficult to give a definitive answer for permanent hair removal. However, women usually see high satisfaction after 5-10 sessions, and men after 10 or more sessions, as the amount of hair follicles significantly decreases.
Can I get skin care on the same day as hair removal?
Yes, it is possible. Facial hair removal is usually possible after toning or general skin care, and you should pay more attention to moisturizing after hair removal to prevent skin troubles.
What is the recommended treatment cycle?
We recommend treatment 4-5 weeks after the previous session.
